late night snack cookies.

we're having a work party today and as soon as it was announced i knew exactly what i would be bringing. i've had my eye on these cookies ever since i pinned them and this was a great excuse to make them!

these cookies are stuffed with caramel-y snickers bars, and salty, crispy potato chips. yes, i stuffed potato chips into a cookie.

april favorites!

i absolutely love beauty videos on youtube, and i always look forward to the end of the month favorites videos that are so popular. i like them so much that i thought i would make it a monthly thing here on my blog! get ready for my april favorites!

• Aveda - dry remedy shampoo and conditioner. my hair has been so soft and hydrated after using this shampoo/conditioner. i have really fine hair and this didn't weigh it down or make it greasy!

 

• Ojon - Full Detox Rub Out Dry Cleansing Spray. i've wanted to be a fan of dry shampoo, but after trying a few and having no luck i assumed they just wouldn't work for my hair...until I tried this one. it doesn't leave any weird residue in my hair, soaks up excess oil, and gives me volume. plus, it's refreshing on my scalp which I sorta like (even though the word scalp is creepy).



• Tokyomilk Dark - Femme Fatale Handcreme. i've also been searching for a hand cream that doesn't leave my skin greasy. this is it, and the scents are AMAZING!



• Buxom - All About Pink lip set. this set is perfect for spring! three shades of pink in a lip gloss, lip stain, and a lip stick that you can layer or wear alone.



• Bath & Body Works - Strawberry Scented Candle. Oh. My. Gosh. this candle is so good! so, so good!





Finally, I wanted to mention a site called Dashing Dish. I stumbled on to her site one day when I really needed encouragement. Her testimony really gave me hope and strength at a time when I really needed it. I went on to discover that I love, love, love her view of body image and diet, and she really loves Jesus. I ended up downloading a month of her meal plan and I've had a lot of success with it. I'm not really looking to lose any weight, I just wanted to start being more intentional about what was going into my body. I love that her recipes are delicious and are made with every day items.

this verse is both beautiful and fierce! He is both a physical protection and a spiritual boundary that the enemy cannot cross. as I meditated on this verse, Revelation 12:11 came to mind...it says that we will overcome the enemy by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. the blood of the Lamb is a physical protection, and the word of our testimony sets a boundary around the things that we claim as our own. 

as believers, His promises are our armor and protection AND, we will overcome anything the enemy throws against those promises by the words of our testimony. the awesome thing about our testimony is that it can start (and should start) before the victory is even seen. we can build our testimony by faith...that's actually what the Lord desires for us. 

i love that this verse gives me such an awesome picture. when God releases a promise over our life it becomes a suit of armor that protects. God's promises are usually directly related to the deepest most intimate desires of our hearts. they are connected to the things the enemy fights us on the most. when God releases that promise, it is to protect the thing He is actually trying to perfect through His words. how fantastic is that?!

if you have a promise from the Lord today, keep holding on to it. stand behind that Word and allow it to protect you from any attack of the enemy. Your God will come through for you!
